Labor Day Weekend + Movie Theater = Fail

I’d list this post under the fun category–but it wasn’t fun.

We saw District 9–which was mediocre. It’s been out for a while now, but the theater was packed. No more holiday weekend movies for me.

Obama unveils measures to spur retirement saving

Cool!

Payments for unused vacation time and sick leave could be converted into retirement savings under the new measures and Americans would be able to have tax refunds directly deposited into their retirement accounts or used to buy savings bonds.

The measures do not require congressional approval and most will take effect immediately.

Anyway…Melia decided to write and produce a song dedicated to me, and, she decided to sing it to me on her birthday! How lucky am I? Very! Jealous? You should be.

Bottom line, I <3 Melia.

I’m not going to post all my thoughts now, but stayed tuned for one in the next few days. I will be sad if we don’t pass some type of health reform bill. The worst part? A lot of people have no clue what they’re talking about when it comes to health care reform. They just say they want to keep the government out of it. Well, if that’s the case, I hope you never want Medicare.

If you don’t trust the government with health care, why would you trust them in our public school system to educate our children? Some things don’t make sense…
