Click here for an interesting article on The Pirate Bay.
Exert:
Mr Sunde remains unmoved. He says piracy is a way of life on the internet. “I started off copying disks on my computer when I was eight or nine,” he said. “You should never tell people where they can’t go or what they can’t do.”

I can’t even count how many incorrect bills they have sent me, or even the amount of times they missed their 4 hours service window to be at my house. Regardless, they have always provided damn good service for both TV and Internet. However, that wont be lasting for long.
Apparently, Comcast is limiting torrent use by not allowing users to seed files. Here’s an exert from the articles:
One of the ISPs that joined our discussions said: “The fact is, P2P is (from my point of view) a plague - a cancer, that will consume all the bandwidth that I can provide. It’s an insatiable appetite.”, and another one stated: “P2P applications can cripple a network, they’re like leaches. Just because you pay 49.99 for a 1.5-3.0mbps connection doesn’t mean your entitled to use whatever protocols you wish on your ISP’s network without them provisioning it to make the network experience good for all users involved.”

Another peaceful night of sleep rudely interrupted! My house was shaking from all the heavy machinery being used to pave the roads. This picture best describes my mood for the morning:

Thank you very much City of Kirkland, you never cease to amaze me! As of last week, they put up no parking signs between the hours of 7a-5p, Monday through Friday. The signs weren’t just on a few blocks, they were over 1 mile strong. This caused a major parking crunch, as everyone got limited to their driveways (mine is only big enough for 1 car!). Several days passed, the signs remained, nothing was happening to the roads.Long story short, I was about ready to run some errands, and I hear a noise out my window and this is what I see:
I guess I wont be going out today…
P.S. Did I mention how bad it smells outside?

Throw away any preconceived notion on what you think this might be. Don’t fear, click it! I know you want to play Super Mario Brothers Super Chick Sisters! Interesting little game I found online. I wonder how people will react to it.

Must resist urge to buy cool Final Fantasy swag…Click here if you want to visit the store. My only complaints are the lack of old school Final Fantasy items, and the poor availability of everything currently for sale.
*Note* The site is getting hammered, so loading the page may be difficult.
*Edit* It appears that the store is down, and the status now days “coming soon”. I guess they still have a few kinks to work out.
*Edit 2* Store is back up…lol.

I went to my parents house for the first time in quite a while yesterday. I had a really good time, and it was nice to see them again. Honestly, I know I should visit them more often, but I just hate driving over 520. It’s such a long trip, and there’s ALWAYS traffic!
Anyway, while I was there my dad took me out to my favorite Chinese restaurant for lunch, Louie’s Cuisine of China. It’s right off 15th by the Ballard Bridge. If you haven’t been there, I highly recommend. As with most Chinese restaurants the luncheon specials are very affordable. As always, the food was excellent, however, I do have on complaint. For the first time ever, I had a Hispanic waiter serve us at our table (that wasn’t the problem!); when he came up to the table he started talking to us in SPANISH. Anyway, I suppose it’s not a big deal, I just found out very awkward.
Here are some pictures of the food:

A few nights ago, Gary and Jonathan Shen came to my house to play some Mario Strikers for the Wii. I thought it would be a good idea to unlock some new characters, so we decided to play domination mode. Since we had 3 people, we all played co-op on the same team.
What a learning experience that was…So, we had 3 people all going for the ball each time, and leaving the computer players open. This means that anytime a special ability was used against us, it would hit all three of us at the same time! The worst being Diddy Kong’s Red Card ability which took all 3 of us off the field at the same time!
Long story short, we dominated the “regular season” schedule, then got owned in the playoffs…several times. Each time we lost, we’d come back with a new resolve, and play better than ever–then continue to lose in the playoffs, especially to Diddy who absolutely dominated us. After 3 hrs and 55 mins of playing, we had Diddy tied at 1-1 in a best of 3 series. With less than 30 seconds left in game rubber match of the series we had a 2 goal lead. One megastrike goal from Diddy and the game was tied (Thanks for playing left handed Shen!). We went into sudden death, and were assaulting their goal non-stop, and took about 5 consecutive shots, the ball rolls slightly over the half-way line, a Hammer Bro. from the other team runs and hits the ball and it goes in–we lost.
That’s right, 4 straight hours of Mario Strikers and we couldn’t even unlock Diddy. However, all was not lost for the night, we had some pizza from Jet City, and had a blast playing. Thanks for coming over guys.

Last night I went to Costco with Gary and Shen. I found the reclining chair I’ve been drooling over for some quite time now. To my shock and amazement, it had the asterisk next to the price (meaning the sku is going to get deleted), AND, the price ended in .97c, meaning it was on clearance pricing.
With the price dropping to a mere $350, this was a steal. On the way up to the register, Mr. Jonathan Shen thought it would be fun to take a ride in the chair all the way up to the front.
When I took the chair to the cashier, she was saying how nice the chair looks. A few seconds later, she jumped in the chair, and started pulling herself forward! I must say, she was in a very friendly mood.
